Dear 2010, I Love You 12/31/2009
![]() Dear 2010, Your days have yet to begin and I can already basque in the radiance that you project. I know now that my mission for this upcoming year is to spread love, joy, passion, wellness, caring and wealth to everyone I come into contact with, whatever that may or may not look like. I am blessed to be traveling the US from Pinkie to Pinkie loving you each unconditionally. Though I do not know the challenges I will be pressed with, the blessing I will receive or beautiful people I will encounter- I know my faith in God will provide me with all I need to triumph. There is something inside of me that tells me 2010 is going to be a year of greatness for us all should we choose to accept our own individual purposes, talents and sacred contracts. It feels as though there has been a miracle, a shift in perception by those that surround me. Cheers to you 2010, cheers to us! @MeganMonique You Are A Queen 12/29/2009
I heard this song this morning and found it very suiting for me mood this morning. I invite you Pinkies, to embrace the beauty that is YOU- love yourself today, you are a queen. 365 Days of Kindness 12/26/2009
One of my Christmas gifts was a planner. (Side note: I love any and all things to do with paper, writing, creativeness, planning, list-making and color.) I happen to be a bit picky about my planners and calendars, this one was gorgeous and I was excited to get it- but it doesn't have enough space for me to use on a daily basis. I pondered and pondered what I could use this planner for and then it HIT ME! I will make this planner my 365 days of kindness keeper! THIS is an invitation for you to join me! Materials: A planner or calender of sorts Your imagination A pen, pencil or marker How it works: Once you have found the planner or calendar you will be using you simply make a conscience effort everyday to write down one act of kindness you put forth that day. It doesn't have to be any thing HUGE, just something nice. You might find yourself plotting very kind and random things to do for others. Your act of kindness does not have to be for someone you know, it could very well be a stranger on the street who dropped something and you helped her pick it up. It could be you picking up a friends kids from school who couldn't get out of a meeting in time. Anything that provides a hand to another person- I can't wait to hear what you all create in your planners. Owning Life: Taking Breaks 12/21/2009
I open my book this morning, ‘Anatomy of the Spirit’ to find some inspiration for my writing. My head has been swirling with so many ideas and concepts lately that I didn’t even know where to begin. Low and behold The Universe worked its magic to target one of the very things that I had been pondering on: ‘Misdirecting the power of ones spirit will generate consequences to one’s body and life.’ I get on these kicks that last anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months where I am totally and utterly spiritually aligned. I am able to tap into conversations with my Inner Goddess (Fiona) and really work my magic all over the place. After these phase passes I enter 1 to 2 weeks of what I like to call ‘Hibernation.’ I still have spiritual conversations, I still coach the friends and strangers I encounter that ask for it; but that magic that fills my heart, blood and mind is subdued. It is as if following my life’s path is so tiring that my body, ego and inner teenager scream ‘STOP! I want to play!’ And so I do. I take a week or two off. I party like its 1999. I get my work done; I still spread my love and get enough rest, but not to the best of abilities. I am putting forth a 40% effort instead of 100%. Fiona (my inner Goddess) is inside me (sitting in the lotus position,) patiently waiting for me to come back and get started on my life’s work again. Knowing she is there, I ignore her, just a little bit longer and run off and play for just a few more hours. I sit at my desk this morning pondering whether I have set myself back at all and yet I get the feeling that things have just been on hold. I am ready to get back on my life’s path; I am done frolicking in the woods for now. I can’t help but wonder if this is how my life will continue or if one day I will come to the point where following The Universe’s plan isn’t so exhausting. Even in writing that, I feel so ‘humanly.’ Am I hiding from my own greatness, knowing that I am not yet ready for what the future holds for me? This rings true. How about you? Do you often find yourself fleeing from the brilliance that is you? Knowing good and well that if you stayed focused, regularly, you could conquer mountains? What are we so afraid of? This is God’s plan, we here following his word (whatever God you believe in.) The Universe doesn’t give us anything that we aren’t ready for or that we can’t handle, right? I want to invite you Pinkies (readers) to take on a plan of action with me; the next time we feel compelled to go frolic in the woods while our destiny awaits us on our chosen path, let’s step aside and ask why? Why is it that at this moment we have chosen to flee? What are we hiding/running from? Take deep note of all the emotions you feel, all of the things you are surrounding yourself with, etc. Perhaps in the moments of escape we have taken on too much in our physical lives to give 100% to everything. Maybe we should unload some of commitments and take responsibility for not being able to complete everything we said we would. There is no shame in that. Thank you Pinkies for being here during my journey, for listening and talking with me on where you are at. I love that we are here to support each other. Wishing you well. -Megan My Intuitive Reading With Caroline 12/16/2009

![]() Health is not a numerical concept and cannot be defined using statistics. Human beings, however, tend to want to quantify well-being into easily understandable figures. We feel compelled to ascribe numbers to every aspect of wellness, from the qualities of our food to our fitness levels to the physical space we occupy. As a consequence of social pressures, we turn our attention away from health and focus instead on the most contentious of these figures—weight—checking our scales to see how we measure up to our peers and role models. Yet each of us is equipped to gauge our relative healthfulness without any equipment whatsoever. When we have achieved a state of wellness, we feel buoyant and energetic. Some of us are naturally slim, while others will always be curvy. No matter what our weight, we can use the cues we receive from our physical and mental selves to judge how healthy we really are. When you throw away your scale, you commit to a lifestyle that honors the innate wisdom that comes from within your body and within your mind. It is logical to examine how you feel while considering your health—a strong, fit, and well-nourished individual will seldom feel heavy, bloated, or fatigued. If you have concerns regarding your weight, remind yourself that at its proper weight, your body will feel buoyant and agile. Movement becomes a source of joy. Sitting, standing, walking, and bending are all easy to do because your joints and organs are functioning as they were meant to. When you are physically healthy, your mind will also typically occupy a place of well-being. Mental clarity and an ability to focus are two natural traits of whole-self health. Surprisingly, promoting this type of easy-to-discern wellness within yourself takes no special effort outside of satisfying your hunger with nourishing, wholesome foods and moving your body. The numbers you see on the scale, while nominally informative, can prevent you from reaching your healthful eating goals by giving you a false indicator of health. You will know when you have achieved true health because every fiber of your being will send you signals of wellness. When you choose to listen to these signals instead of relying on the scale, your definition of well-being will be uniquely adapted to the needs of your body and of your mind Owning Worry: Tossing It Aside 12/08/2009
![]() Last night I got my second card reading from my friend Krystal. I love getting these readings, they reinforce what I already know and sometimes make me aware of emotions and circumstances I have been pushing aside. One of the cards last night read: 'God Box'- A God box is something you put your worries into. It can be something as formal as you putting a piece of paper with your worry written on it into a special box, or as simple as just releasing your worry to the Angels. This is a great way of releasing your fears out so that they can be manifested into the higher good in heaven. When you worry about something what happens is that sends a ripple out to the cosmos and while your intention is to think of a way to fix your situation you are inadvertently sending negative vibes about your situation prolonging the outcome the Angels have waiting for you. So in order to "speed" up the process of fixing your situation release your worries to God and know that things will be taken care of in the end. Just believe all will be well and it will be. ![]() I couldn't help but to immediately take the advice of the card and created my very own worry jar. After I created the jar I wrote two of my worries on separates sheets of paper, balled them up and stuffed them inside the jar. Since I did this, I conversation presented itself with one of the people I was concerned about and left me filled with peace for the circumstances at hand. It was kind of amazing. As for the other, I feel that something is brewing in my favor. I know- that I no longer have to show concern for the topic because I placed it in my worry jar, where the angels are working on it- out of my hands! I encourage you to take the time to create your own worry jar, box, fire, what have you. I was also shown this website by numerologist Kristen Ernst that allows you to create your own inner world. One of the activities involves a campfire, typing out your worries and tossing them into the fire. I got GREAT satisfaction out of doing this. Regardless of this exercise My Inner World is a beautiful creation that inspires meditation, growth, support and self discovery. I can't wait to see/hear about your worry jar! Goodbye Mommy: Memoirs of a Survior 12/04/2009
![]() Today's post is a video tribute to a dear Twitter friend Lora Lee who is battling cancer. She is a survivor and her story deserves to be heard. Please take a moment and tissue to watch this video. Thanks Pinkies! This Wednesday's post comes from my favorite numerologist Kristen Ernst. Kristen continues to share her brilliance with us through her monthly numerology reports. Shining light on what to look out for and how we can better our communication and activities this month in aligning ourselves with the numbers at hand. Don't forget to take the time to check out Kristen's fabulous T-shirts and Jewelry. ![]() December and the number 3! The month of holiday cheer, love and the number 3 vibration! The 3 rules entertaining, communication and CREATIVITY; and what a month it is for fun, laughter, parties and entertainment! The 3 also rules mind, body and spirit, so it's definitely the time to get those "3" in order & connecting with one another. This 3 month of December embodies a sort of frantic, ungrounded, constantly-moving kind of vibe, but there's no better way to achieve that mind-body-spirit connection than by going into prayer and meditation. When we are silent and still, with no distractions, that is when the biggest messages come to us. Get grounded this Holiday season and focus upon SELF. Allow the messages to flow. When we can give our selves proper respect, space and love, we can then give it back & more freely to the world. Let your beautiful light shine this month. Giving to self in this way is not "selfish", per se... it allows an opening of heart energy which enables a deeper sense of awareness. That is what the world needs & that is what we all deserve. The 3 also rules the planet Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of expansion & improvement. Again... a month to improve/expand our own thoughts, connections and consciousness which will then reflect upon the rest of the world. ![]() When we add the month of 3 to the current year of 2009, we get 5. This 5 may bring up feelings for the need to overindulge. I know, I know! With the Holidays upon us, there's that "wanting-to-indulge" feeling anyway (for many), but it just might be a bit harder to get rid it of it this December. Go to your happy place when you're reaching for that 3rd brownie and do your best to WILL the temptation away (I know you are rolling your eyes at me right now - I am rolling my eyes at ME right now. LOL)! The 5 may also make many of us feel restless and easily distracted, so be careful not to burn the gingerbread cookies - also, please be extra careful driving on the roads, my dear ones! I know this 5 sounds like a lot of doom and gloom, but the 5 is also the number for travel, adventure & inspiration! The 5 is very much about going with the flow of life and feeling the "free bird" mentality, so have some fun, get creative, find some adventure and allow yourself to indulge a little bit! For goodness sake, we're only human, right? That said, 2010 is just around the corner! Wow... what a quick year for me! It seemed to travel at warp speed... How about for you? In general, next year is a 3 year... All these 3's happening! I love it! The year of COMMUNICATION, finding your voice and expressing self... stay tuned to find out how you can make 2010 an excellent year for YOU! Have a fabulous December, everyone! Much love, light and Holiday cheer to you all... XOXOKristen |
